Nilay Konar graduated from Girne American University, Department of Psychology with high honors and wrote her thesis on “Researching anxiety levels in individuals who do and do not do regular sports”.
She completed her master's degree in Clinical Psychology at Near East University with her work on anxiety, emotional intelligence and psychological resilience and earned the title of expert clinical psychologist.
She played volleyball professionally at Emlak Bankası, Güneş Sigorta-Vakıf Bank, Kocaeli Spor, Türk Telekom, Eczacıbaşı, Galatasaray and Beşiktaş sports clubs between 1994 and 2014.
She played in Turkish Women's National Volleyball team between 1996 and 2008.
She completed Volleyball Coaching Level III, Pilates Instructor (Turkish Gymnastics Federation), Fitness Instructor (Fitness Federation), Personal Coach - Special Instructor certificate, Yoga Instructor trainings and received certificate.
Currently, she supports her clients based on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Hypnotherapy, EMDR, Positive Psychotherapy, Image Therapy and Acceptance-Commitment Therapy and with her experience gained from professional athlete background, she also works in the field of sports and sports psychology.
